Welcome! My name is Eddie Gil a cybersecurity and IT professional based out of Indiana working at a large healthcare system as a cyber engineer.
I went to LA Mission College and came out with a dual degree in Cybersecurity and Computer Programming, then went straight to work stacking real experience on top of it. Along the way I picked up certifications through GIAC, CompTIA, and AWS, earned a spot on the GIAC Advisory Board, and contribute to the CIS Advisory Board at LA Mission College helping keep curriculum aligned with where the industry is actually heading.
Beyond the day job I've helped out a range of people, enterprises, small businesses, non-profits, and individuals, with everything from security questions, content creation, and system setups to general IT headaches that just needed someone to actually dig in and figure it out. Really, I love to help out, especially when I can figure out something that’s causing stress or a blocker.
I run a home lab because I like building things and breaking them on purpose (sometimes they just break because… well they break). But in all honesty, constantly working on something, learning, configuring, or fixing keeps my mind fresh and up to date. And it’s not always a grind, I genuinely love doing it.

Eddie has helped a lot when it comes to my streaming platform and backend technology needed to make the everyday happen. He was able to help me with a custom built computer, migrate and configure OBS from StreamLabs, configure multi-stream to various platforms, secure my Discord server by reviewing access/activty logs and enforcing a second layer of authentication when joining to prevent bot users, set up application integrations within Discord to automate user engagement. He also is ready to assist with troubleshooting network issues, application problems, and any new integrations I require for streaming. I've also contracted him as a moderator for my various platforms to keep the environment safe, secure, and functional.

While his primary area is CASB and CSPM, he also stepped in to DLP during a critical staffing period in that area, as well as Island browser support. Eddie impressed me immensely during his interview. While he did not have much direct IT experience, he was extremely knowledgeable and yearned to learn more and apply both his hard and soft skills.
